Since childhood, we have been hearing about the stories of ghosts from our grandmother. We all know, India is a beautiful country but after reading about these haunted places, you will find India as a mysterious country too.
According to science, spirit is nothing else but energy and we all know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
1) Bhangarh Fort
Bhangarh fort is in Ajabgarh near Alwar, Rajasthan.
If the localites are to be believed then this will surely hold 1st place in the list of top 5 scariest places in India. There are two stories popular about this fort getting haunted.
According to first story, there was a “Sadhu” named Baba Balnath who injuncted that any house built in the nearby areas of the fort should not be taller than his house. If the shadow of any house falls on his house, it will result in the destruction of the fort and the nearby areas.
Second story says that there was a magician who was expert in black magic. He fell in love with the beautiful princess of Bhangarh. He wanted to marry her, so one day when princess went for shopping “ittar” (scent) the magician replaced the scent with some tonic in order to enmesh the princess. However princess saw through the plans of the magician and she threw the bowl of tonic on a big stone nearby, as a result of which stone started rolling down and crushed the magician. Before dying, magician cursed that Bhangarh will be destroyed and everyone living there will be killed. Soon Bhangarh was invaded by Mughals and everyone was killed.
Bhangarh fort is roofless , it is believed that the roof of the houses built there collapses and the spirit of the princess still lives there.
Government has banned the entry to the fort after sunset.
The famous society of Thane is not only famous for its luxurious apartments but also for its Paranormal activities. Many residents of the society have experienced strange things in the apartment. Once a man living here commited suicide. It is said that his spirit haunts the society at night. The gaurds have experienced many strange activities at night. Once a guard reported of being slapped hardly by someone but when he searched there was no one around. Every resident fears in entering the society at late night.
Dumas beach of Surat in Gujarat is famous for its Black sand and its paranormal and strange activities. It is said that many people have lost their life while enjoying at this mysterious beach. It is reported by many about the strange whisperings, people getting disappeared at night and many unexplainable incidents. It is believed that once this beach was used as hindu burial place and the spirits of those buried here have made the beach haunted. Many incidents have been reported of people getting disappeared mysteriously and never been found again.
Popularly known as Deserted ghost village. It is believed that it carries a curse of the villagers who vanished from the village overnight. It is said that there was a minister of the state named Salim Singh who once visited the village and fell in love with the beautiful daughter of head of the village. The minister threatened the villagers to allow him to marry the girl otherwise he would increase the taxes by a huge margin. To protect the honour of the girl, the villagers left the village overnight but no one saw them leaving nor anyone knows where they went. It is said that the villagers cursed the village before leaving it, so that no one can takeover their land. Still no one lives there and the village has been abandoned since 1800s.
The fort is famous for two things- one for its architecture and second for the level of paranormal activity on every full moon night. The mysterious story which makes this fort haunted is about a young prince who was brutally killed. Many locals have reported about the boy screaming at night. Locals believe that the scream is of that young prince who was murdered here. Many strange activities have been reported by the locals which makes this fort one of the most haunted place of India. It is advisable to visit fort at daylight as there is no one in the fort except the caretaker.
